Does techstream via mini vci show the subcodes to your knowledge or is it still toyota dealer only info?
Where would I get that subcode from using techstream? I'd rather not pay 80 dollars at the dealer only to tell them that there is nothing wrong.....
So I check my 2008 prius via techstream, and just the p3000 code showed up. There was no other code that accompanied it. Would this be covered...
How much miles per gallon do you now get with the new battery? Did it restore it back to factory levels?
In california that's impossible, and I would know since i've been looking for another prius for 5k with under 110k miles 2007+. Just isn't...
At that budget you'd have to look at salvages honestly, or a different non hybrid car.
Find one with 115k miles or lessfor 5.5k 2007+ only imo. Otherwise I'd just pay the extra 3k and get a 2011 model with 110k miles for 8.5k, which...
Thats awefully nice of you JC. When my original craps out i'll be sure to check back. Still running fine.
do not know why everyone who posts their cars on her expect dealer retail value out of their private sale prius. Just a note if you want to sell it...
Completely Agree with JC on this. Overpriced and they should possibly look into financing a lower mileage 2008-2009 prius for 7-8k or even better...
So for me the issue my wives car had wasn't the shocks, it was terrible alignment in the rear which I somewhat fixed using ezshims on both side...
Im just curious, any reason why the discharger and charger can't be in the same unit reusing the parts within?
KYB gr2 shocks are oem, all the gen 2 prius came with them default. With that said they should ideally be replaced between 70-100k mile range.
Yea, check your control arm bushing, as well as the bolts around the suspension area.. something is loose.
A clunking noise is almost never the struts, and always the bushings or some bolt not properly tightened down. With that said it really does...
I'd offer 12k if you were serious about the car. They'll eventually call you back and sell it for 12.5k. Use edmunds for a more accurate price...
Honestly when it comes to the other rubber parts such as the strut mounts.. I reused mine. They were all perfectly fine. The rear one was like new...
I did it myself for my own prius. It'll take somewhere between 7-9 hours just due to learning curve. I used these to change the springs made it...
Yea other buying the struts yourself off of rockauto (about $250 shipped for the OEM set (KYB) and then paying someone $150-200 to install them...
How many miles does the car have?
