I've had my 2005 Silver AM six days now. I can hit the mph/kmph button, but that only changes the odometer/speedometer. Because this vehicle is made in Japan with SI measuring units, I expect to be able to change other indicators to SI units, such as outside and inside temperature. SI is the official and preferred US system of measurement (federal Acts of 1866, 1975, 1988 and others). Can anyone advise me how to change the display from °F to °C? The owner's manual does not appear to help.
Does this change the voice commands? I'd like to change over to SI units also. Do you happen to have a list of items that can be adjusted? Thanks! Peter Miami, FL
Thank you. When I go for my 8000 km (5000 mi) service I will have the dealer change the temperature indicator from °F to °C. I also notice the trip odometer does not toggle with the mph/kmph button.
Looks like I may have been wrong about the F/C changeover. Might have confused the car with my humidistat.
I think they'd actually need to re-load the software for one of the computers to get the display changed from F to C. Not sure if that can be done easily outside the factory. Dave.
I noted that one to my wife on the way to the dealer when I picked up (she was driving, I was reading all the stuff I printed here). I mentioned it as a "probably don't want you to do this" to the dealer too.
