Skoda used to be the bargain basement brand but word out of Europe seems to be that Skoda has managed to carve out a niche for themselves. They have family friendly items that separate them from the rest of the VW brand such as built-in umbrellas, a "sleep package" for the Enyaq includes fold out rear headrest bolsters (see video) and a blanket as well as some First Aid kits and other trinkets in the cargo area. They are still priced lower due to lower labour costs but they're not "cheap" like they used to be.

SEAT is more performance oriented, and youthful. Kind of like Mazda niche among the Japanese brands once was. Sounds like they are trying to go more upscale, like Mazda has done in the US.
