I have an 05 Priuse with option package 6. I am shopping for seat covers for the front seats. If you look at my seats there is a tag on the outside edge of the seat that says "SRS Side airbag". How do these bags deploy? Does the seat explode to allow the air bag to deploy? I was exspectecting a window or acces port in the side of the seat. So, I need to buy seat covers for seats with side air bags how does the air bag work with a seat cover over it. Thanks
The stitching on the seats are weak at that point so the airbag rips through. When you get seat covers, make sure they are for a car with side airbags.
