Hi all, I picked up a very clean "Salvage" Prius that someone had driven over a concrete planter box in a parking lot and cracked the transmission case and slightly bent the drivers control arm. I had to do this because my wife on her way to work hit black ice and totaled her '03 Prius on a tree. She's fine, but her car was sent to the wrecking yard. Anyway, I replaced the trans with a good used one and the H frame and control arm. Tried to fire it up and had to put it on TecStream. With reading other posts, I managed to fix the other 7 codes it had, but am not sure about the B1801, B1811 and B1901 SRS codes. Can I assume the airbags deployed and were not replaced or the controllers weren't? It appears that they have been replaced as there is no signs of deployment (airbag material or broken panels), but just not sure how to check. Never had to deal with airbag issues before. Thanks again for the support everyone has given me learning about the Prius'es. I'm hooked for life!
This guy seems to have a good understanding of the B1801 an B1811. B1901 info can be found here. http://share.qclt.com/%E4%B8%B0%E7%94%B0%E6%99%AE%E7%91%9E%E6%96%AF%E5%8E%9F%E5%8E%82%E8%8B%B1%E6%96%87%E6%89%8B%E5%86%8Cpdf%E6%A0%BC%E5%BC%8F/repair%20manual/04pruisr/05/2013n/190173b.pdf I just went through air bag trouble shooting. The bag computer is in lower front center console and is not too hard to get to. In a crash the ECU can record hard codes that Techstrem will not clear. There are companies with special equipment that can clear those codes. I do not think that is the issue you are having. Brad
Wow awesome! Thanks Strawbrad for the link and info. I'll do some more research now. If anyone else has had experience with SRS systems, please feel free to chime in- Thanks again
