My husband and I were going to hold out for a 2006 Pruis but the dealership in Laurel, MD offered a deal we just couldn't pass up. They are offering $1200 under MSRP and were able to get Ethel (that would be our Pruis) in just a few weeks. Just picked her up yesterday. She's Millennium Silver - package 6 and she's GREAT!. This past Wednesday (Nov 30), I got an email AND phone call from a salesman at DarCar Toyota in Silver Springs MD. He said "today ONLY" his manager would sell me any 2005 Pruis on the lot (I think they had at least 3) for $1700 under MSRP. My reply was "Let me know when he drops it to -$3100."
Don't expect him to call back. He'd be selling it for a loss at $3100 under MSRP. It's a popular model and there are plenty of folks subject to AMT who will be willing for him to make a profit.
