I have a 2010 Prius, because of the pandemic it sat for a year and 1/2 in the garage. I occasionally ran the engine, but last week l went to start it and it wouldn’t . The 12v was dead, l replace the 12v battery. Still completely dead. I’ve changed out the 12v battery a few times over the years so I know exactly how to do it that’s not the issue, and my battery checker shows the battery at 12.5v . I can’t use a OBD as the car is completely dead. Before I changed out the battery I did try to jump start the car from the fuse box panel, when I did this the alarm went off and the lights flashed. I’m at a loss, could it be the main fuse link that’s gone? Any help would be gratefully excepted. Thanks Steve NJ
does it measure 12.5 at the jump point? maybe the ground point is corroded or loose. where did you buy it? it should be close to 13, unless it sat on the shelf and they didn't top it up.
