140k mile service / first time at dealer -- help?

    Hi everyone:

    Just acquired a 2008 Prius with 140k miles. Need to take it to the dealer for an overall inspection, but never get service at a dealer and I don't want to get the run around. What should I ask for / be aware of going in?

    Do you have any service records for the car? If you go into a dealer asking for service with unknown records, you may walk out hundreds of dollars lighter in your wallet.....with possibly non essential services

    Just ask for an inspection if that's all you want. They should give you a list of deficiencies and you can post it for advice on what's required.

    Too bad you're not in a CARB state ... Its hybrid system would still be under warranty
