Hello, the 15A, RAD NO.1 Fuse (engine compartment box, #33) in our 2012 Prius 3 blows immediately. When you replace the fuse, there is a spark, indicating most likely a short, and you can smell it inside the cabin down by the head unit. Any ideas on what is causing this and how to address? Thank you, new to the forum. Searched, and could not find this specific issue addressed.
Welcome to Prius Chat . Some questions: Has the car ever been in an accident? Any water intrusion? Any rodents get at any wires? Are there any associated dash lights? Keep us posted .
Thank you for the rapid reply and the welcome. Answer to all 4 is no. Everything else is fine with the car.
Nothing done to the car. Everything else is fine. Yes, hood opened, etc. to replace the fuse. The "short circuit" smell is inside the cabin by the head unit.
