Hey guys, im just wondering, is it made a 178 hp version of the 3rd gen prius? everytime im trying to find parts for my prius it comes up 3 choices of HP models on the website, 73KW/100hp, 100KW/136hp and 132KW/178hp. Mine is apperantly the 73kw/100hp version. But what is this? like does it exist a 178hp prius? I know the prius plus perfromace package doesnt got 178hp so which one does?
Who / what is 'it'? I suspect that 'it' is a third party application that is confused about the various Toyota hybrid systems in different vehicle models.
But its like on every website i visit tho? CARID.com, ebay.com, bildeler.no, bsbildeler.no, skruvat.no, and the list goes on. (those last ones where Norwegian websites btw) It gotta be some mixed up in the websites i guess but still, how can all of these websites show Hp versions of the car that doesn't exist? or apparently doesn't exist? i don`t even know anymore...
The Prius engine is just the Atkinson flavor of the ZR toyota engine, I do not see any variant of it that makes that much horsepower. Toyota ZR engine - Wikipedia There is a Toyota Atkinson engine that makes 178 HP Toyota AR engine - Wikipedia But it is not in any Prius.
lol, nothing in particular, just some suspension parts that i need to get cause the car didnt got thru the EU-control. But yea, i just stumbled upon this "178hp prius". So just thought of asking on here so people who knows stuff about the car could answer.
In the Internet era, many of those websites subcontract out such details to third party service websites. If they all use the same vendor, then they will suffer the same errors.
