I just bought a 2001 the 12 volt was dead changed it ending up find out the 100 amp fuse was blown and 2 15amps the car still wont start The dash light come on the fuel bars go up and down the hybrid screen dont light up the car dont say ready. What could be the cause need help asap have to move the car or its geting towed
sounds like the inverter and or tranny is fried. this will not be a quick fix. i would have it towed to a dealer.
Progress on this issue is probably going to require getting trouble codes from the car. To get all of them, a suitable scan tool known to work with Gen 1 Prius will be needed. Techstream is one that's known to work. Without that, many trouble codes can be retrieved by counting blinks of dash lights when a jumper wire is placed between pins Tc and CG of the car's diagnostic port. In later generations, only a few of the car's ECUs can still do blink codes, but in Gen 1, nearly all of them can. With the jumper wire in place and the key turned on, the dash will look like the Vegas strip with flashing lights you can count. However, the HV ECU and the Battery ECU do not participate in the blink codes, and can only be reached with a scan tool. But you might be able to get enough info from other ECUs' blink codes to make a start on your issues.
