hi my 04 Prius wont start, after changing valve cover gasket (forgot to un plug battery went dead )recharge battery still will not start , seem like no power not going anywhere ,no lights ,no dome lights , horn is working is there a theft detorent activated , change battery in remote FOB , tried another battery from my other Prius 07 fuel injection connections where unplug and rechecked plugs in chek all connections under hood still no go if anyone can help appreciated thanks
If you're certain the positive and negative connections are correct, the next place to check are all your fuses
1. Did you reverse the battery polarity at some point when disconnecting and reconnecting the 12V battery? 2. Check the DOME fuse since you say the passenger cabin lighting is not working. That DOME fuse provides power to several important circuits, it is not just for lighting. 3. Do the headlights come on? If not, check the 12V battery cable tightness, especially the negative cable where it bolts to the body.
