Posts on that board are taking like 20 minutes (or more) to show up. Just a warning in the event anyone reading this was wondering what happened to a post they made on that board.
<soapbox> Shocker. That place has outgrown itself, which is causing more people to set up their own YGs, only furthering the problem of a lack of community and information being spread all over God's green earth. The moment you have filled up your file quota, you should know it's time to expand into something bigger. </soapbox>
Yes! Also, I should amend my original post (above) and add that a couple of the messages I posted on the YG apparently were vaporized......couple of hours and nothing. Geez.....
Wow, I see what you're talking about. I posted something and it still hasn't come up (a response about that guy who has his autoresponder set up).
Still missing TWO and those were posted several hours ago. Further, a couple of posts that actually made it to the group were out of order.
Noticed one of my messages had the time as 1:11pm but was actually posted at 3:08pm......almost 2 hours. Sheesh!
Another message had the time as 1:16pm and was posted at 1:49pm. Obviously, that message was written after the one I wrote at 1:11pm but it was posted over an hour before. Nice way to absolutely cream threads and make me look like an idiot (of course, I do not need any help in that regard......can do that all by myself, thanks!) :cussing:
Sorry about the serial posting but I wonder if most people on the YG even realize what's happening. If they're using e-mail s/w to read and post, they might not have a clue.
I wonder what the queue looks like over there right now. I see we've picked about 7 new members since it started.
Actually, I should say, 'it's all over the map'. Some posts get through within 15 to 20 minutes, others are delayed 2 hours and a few are delayed even longer than 2 hours (like a post that appeared at around 7:40 that was written a little after 4:00). Whacky!
Kinda humorous - someone on the YG was complaining about me complaining about the YG and calling it an advertisement, but this was at the bottom of their message: > *Yahoo! Groups Sponsor* > ADVERTISEMENT > <http://rd.yahoo.com/SIG=12cimlc90/M=267637.4116732.5333197.1261774/D=egroupweb/\ S=1705064625:HM/EXP=1071270207/A=1853618/R=0/*http://www.netflix.com/Default?mqs\ o=60178338&partid=4116732>
Complaining about someone complaining is about as off topic as one can get. He should have posted his "complaint" about your complaint in this forum since it's clearly identified as "Off Topic". Take me, for instance. Here I am not merely complaining about someone complaining, I complaining about someone who complained about another person who was complaining. But it's okay because this is posted in a forum clearly marked "Off Topic". Now if someone wants to complain about me complaining about some guy on the YG who complained about Danny's complaint, then it should be posted here.......right?
Hehehehehe, Tag;, I'm offended at this post, and now I'll have to complain about the complaining about the complaining about the uhhhhh...... damn, I forgot how much complaining about complaining was going on. :jester:
Haha, this morning at the YG all of the posts with an apostrophe are getting screwed up because Yahoo's code is not coming out right in the posts. Hehehe.
That's one thing I can't understand about folk's on that board. The moderator's apparently can't do anything and Yahoo won't fix stuff yet it doesn't seem to bother anyone. OTOH, folks can't deal with anyone's purported "advertising" of a board that's working. It's sure's doesn't make't sense's to't me's.
BTW, "You know You're a Prius Owner When: You'll put up with reading member's posts on a board that's not, and hasn't ever, worked properly.
