I noticed last night that the passenger-side HID headlight on my 2005 (57K miles) is putting out a sort of purple/violet shade of light and is significantly dimmer than its counterpart. Is this a known indicator of a complicated or expensive issue? (ie, ballast, controller circuits, etc?) Or is it simply time to replace the bulbs? If it wasn't such a pain the neck to access them, I'd swap the bulbs to see if the problem switches sides.
EVen though it is out of warranty,, find all the stuff here and fight the dealer to do it under warranty. There are known defects and the dealer should replace them! Don't let them jerk you around. Icarus
