I posted last month that the Prius I bought had a yellow tint to the screen but worked, I found one on craigs list, the pictures he had shows it working for $75 bucks so I asked the guy to mail it for $15...I didn't feel like driving 2 hours each way... anyway, I got it and hooked it up, the prius screen comes up then it goes blank..in the same amount of time it normal takes to switch to the "energy" display with the car diagram if I press the display button it comes up and functions as it should, I can work the radio and the ac controls, adjust the brightness and so on then goes blank until I press the display button again.. am I missing something on how to set it up or did I get screwed? the panel light switch is all the way up and the brightness is up half way on the display. of course my emails to the seller are not being returned..
If you look closely do you still see the display when it goes blank? As if it weren't lit up but the screen was displaying properly. The other thing I would look at is if I remember correctly you can turn off the display for running at night. Maybe under the display button there is an option highlighted?
I think I got it had to press display then info then trip info to get the energy display up...seems OK now ..thanks for the reply
