2005 Prius speedometer stuck at 0mph

Hi guys.......newbie here.....

I just purchased a 2005 Toyota Prius and having some issues with the speedometer..........it doesn’t move and stays @ 0mph. I was previously having issues with the combo meter intermittently not working + the speedometer not working. I just replaced the combo meter myself(thanks YouTube) with a rebuilt meter from eBay but the speedometer still doesn’t work. I’m stumped and don’t know where to go next .........any input would be great.

 

Nah........it was doing the same thing with the old combo meter too.

I’m hoping it’s a simple fix

 

I’ll contact them , but like I said previously........it was doing the same thing with the previous combo meter.......I’m thinking it’s something else.

 

Anybody experience an issue like this?

 

Everything else works fine since replacing the combo meter.......only the speedometer is the issue.

 

I think I may have found the issue.........abs light is on.......my guess is one of the speed sensors went bad/damaged etc. causing the speedometer to stop working.
