Hello there I'm not all that familiar with a forum but I had a question about my Prius. If anyone could help. It's making a strange noise every time I hold the brake down. When coming to a stop. I took it to the shop and they said it was mouthing but I don't believe them and cars shouldn't make noises when stepping on a brake. Please help if you can
it's the brake accumulator pump. It should make noises every 2 or 3 times you press the brake, not every time
So it should be making that noise then??? It's sooo annoying I drive a lot as it happens almost every time I step on the brake
Yes it makes that noise and it's normal. But it shouldn't be every single time. Every 2nd or 3rd time you brake. If it's every single time, then there is a problem. But if there's a problem, you would have a warning light pop up on your display area
