I'm a new Prius owner- I bought it two weeks ago today. Everything has been working great. But this last week, the radio sound stopped, and will come back on at random times. All other sounds works great, and the radio is ON, but sound will not play, or plays at random. It lets me switch thru different stations, navigation sound works, and all other functions are good too. What can I do?
welcome! what other sounds work great? could be loose wire behind the head unit, or maybe a bad pc board inside
Thanks for replying! The voice navigation lady works lol! But when the radio is on, nothing. Or sometimes the sound will randomly come on.
i'm not sure where the voice nav comes from, but that makes it sound more like a bad pc board than a loose wire. some people are capable of diagnosing and fixing these things, but most buy a refurb on eBay and swap them. i guess the first step would be to pull it out and check all the wiring
