    Hello

1st post here. I have not found anything remotely close to this problem. So this
is why I have signed up. Hoping someone has had a similar issue.

The PDRN display and odometer display, after removing the key, flashes on and off continuously.
The 12 volt battery is a few days old. No codes coming up. The flashing stops only when
the headlights are on. As soon as the door opens it goes back to flashing. I drove it for a few days then
parked for 72 hours. which killed the battery. This is why I have a new 12 volt.

Can videos post easily on this forum? If it helps I will shoot some video.

Sounds like you're having an issue with the CM monitor display That's the gas gauge the transmission display and the speed company down in Texas call Texas hybrids they'll get you straightened out with the equal of a brand new one they do nice work I have two of them the parts in two of my three or four generation twos that I have here of course you want to make sure you're 12 volt is actually up to snuff just to be clear and everything else seems to be connected and there's no fuses no funny business etc there's not always a code for when the CM monitor is acting up I have gotten the code once but twice and another vehicle no code change the CM monitor and everything was fine I pretty much knew that was the problem.

Flashing PRNDB can sometimes be part of the car wanting to tell you about a park actuator issue. Does the car park and unpark ok? Any other warning lights? Trouble codes?

Yes the p lock issue can be a lot of fun. You should try and post a video and and YouTube it and link it to here I know it's kind of a pain but. Have you ever seen the park the car on level surface and all of that business on your center display?

Thanks for the information so far.

I might try another combo meter service. because I had it in a shop today which they referred me to the toyota
dealer to replace it . I am a little skeptical. it would cost a fortune.

    Thanks

If you mean parking on level vs on incline?, I would say yes.

I also should mention several months ago I changed my motor mounts which I did incorrectly.
This resulted in mount below the inverter coming undone and engine falling down. The
axle had to be replaced and mounts. Could the wiring near the park actuator be the problem?
Should I look there and how would I test with a meter?

search on youtube blencoe123 for a video. I have 3 posts, need 4, to put in a video link because I
    am so new

There is a video of some Russian or Ukrainian guys fixing the pee lock error apparently there's a wiring harness that runs under and a little behind the crank pulley in that bend or dip in the pan. The wiring that's running under the pan right under the crankshaft pulley houses the wires that operate the park lock mechanism You should look at that whole wiring that goes underneath the crank and over to the I guess it would be the back of the engine or that way anyway see if you find any damaged wiring something scraped You say something dropped that would be very suspect that wiring harness might have been holding up the engine from going any further It may have pulled some pins right through the plug wow yeah I would check that if no wiring diagram just pull the car up on ramps look under the crankshaft pulley just a little behind it and under it right along that oil pan check it out.
