I’m doing 2 batteries right now I’ve got an 07 Camry with an original battery in it at 97k miles And a 2009 Tahoe at 127k that has apparently had modules swapped in 2x from a Prius... I’ve heard that the Tahoe has the exact same Modules as the Camry and of course Camry Modules are different but cosmetically the same as the Prius. My question is how do I tell the difference? I want to remove the Prius Modules from this Tahoe pack and replace them with the proper Camry/Tahoe Modules. Potentially I may use all gen 2 Prius modules for This Tahoe and keep its Modules for this Camry and the next one, because they are increasingly rare and I have over 100 healthy 5.5A+ modules for gen 2. Any input would be appreciated in helping me differentiate the two.
The modules are all the same and interchangeable. You can tell which modules have been swapped into the Tahoe from the dates codes. Tahoe's are incredibly hard on their batteries. GM raised the threshold for tripping a fault code from 1.2 volts to 1.6 volts. That's a big deal! It allows the car to keep running with dead cells until one module block has two failed cells. By that time the whole pack is trashed. When you get to the point of testing the Tahoe modules you'll find they are the worst you have ever seen. Plan on sending all the Tahoe modules to the recycling bin.

Because they don't know what they are talking about. I think you are asking about the date codes. The first four digits of the serial numbers printed on top of the modules are a date code. Digits one and two are the day of the month. The third digit is the month. X,Y and Z are used for Oct, Nov, and Dec. The fourth digit is the year. A is 1999and the count just follows the alphabet from there. The original Tahoe modules will all have the same date code. The replaced modules will have a different date code.
Yes, That square is called a QR code. You need a 2D capable reader. A standard bar code is considered 1D. There are apps for reading QR codes with Android phones.
