So I was driving down the road the other day in my 2007 Prius and hit a massive pothole. Right after that the mfd went offline, no mpg showing and "check connection to A/C". So I read up a bit on the forum. Also, I have a 2005 Prius that is wrecked. So I pulled my mfd out of the 2005 and installed it into my 2007 and still no luck. I checked the voltage on the 12V battery and it came back at 13.8 Volts while the car is running. I checked the fuse under the dash and changed it out. Still the same problem, and yes the mfd from the 2005 was operating correctly when removed. The only thing I have not checked is that there is suppose to be a resistor inline when a aftermarket radio is installed, maybe it got bounced around or something? I'm at a loss and I don't particularly want to take it to a dealership. I have some mechanical skills, I replaced the ABS module in my 2005. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you for the response! There are no codes present on the ecm. I checked it with 2 different scanners.
Did either of the scanners involve using a mini-vci cable and a copy of techstream? Are there any lights on the dash? Does it run/drive?
Runs and drives just fine, no lights on at all. Aftermarket radio still functions properly, everything works fine except for the mfd. And no I don't think the scanners have techstream capabilities.
