I'm sorry, I know this thread is out there, but I just cannot find it! How do I override the speed sensor in the NAV system? I printed out instructions but they didn't work so I'm wondering if 2007 might be different. Thanks!
No NAV override for gen 5 NAV (2007 and higher). You only option is either using speed defeat mod or Lockpick 3 from Coastal Tech.
Oh that's a big bummer. Thanks. Really this is the worst feature ever! I find myself trying to quickly plug stuff in at lights, totally defeats the 'safety' purpose. But there are times where pulling over isn't safe either. Plus then there are the car trips when I have a passenger. If they're going to do this they ought to have it be smart enough that when it senses a passenger in the front it self-disables.
Actually there is a mod for NAV override for the 2006-2008 Prius. See darelldd's site: Prius Speed Wire No soft override, though.
