I recently replaced the abs brake pump in my 2007 prius with 150k miles. I did the job by myself and had a professional bleed the lines, but while driving it back home I noticed that there was no cold air coming from my fans. The fans will blow perfect, all climate control dash lights work fine, and no dtcs as of now. I tried to listen for the compressor running but I don’t know if I was hearing it or not. Also didn’t seem like any heat was coming out even after running the engine a little. This would likely indicate some sort of electrical issue, correct? I’m worrying that I may have missed something while putting the inverter back that is causing this electrical issue. The ac seemed to work perfect before I did this job. Now not so much. Is there any way I could have left out an electrical connection in the inverter that would cause this issue but not throw any codes? Low refrigerant? I understand that the prius ac system is very sophisticated and best dealt with by a professional but I would still like to have some understanding of the situation. As a side note, while trying to yank out the brake pump and it’s mount, the water pump was snagged and the plastic housing cracked where the mount attaches. I repaired it with glue and zip ties figuring that it should be fine since it was just a case over the actual pump. However, while listening for the compressor I noticed the water pump making a high pitched buzzing. I’m not sure if that is normal or not. I’m going to check for turbulence in the coolant tomorrow morning. In the case that I did damage the water pump, it’s my understanding that the ac will be shut down in order to help keep the system from overheating. So perhaps that is what happened?? Overall just been hearing some wierd noises that I never heard but that might just be because my abs pump was constantly buzzing louder than everything else.

The air conditioner wire compressor wire goes right up to the inverter generally I don't think it's common practice to take that loose but depending upon how far you're trying to move who knows then I think the cover would have to come off the inverter is the big orange plug going to the compressor that's right up there just below your throttle body if you will Orange plug is it plugged in unplug it and reinsert it did it seem loose not seated etc?

Me, I would use a capable scantool to look at A/C data see what compressor RPM is reported. Also do a full scan for codes- all 15 or 16 systems.

Another thought is to have the car READY with the hood open (A/C off). Carefully reach down and feel the compressor and/or one of the refrigerant lines attached to it. Have an assistant turn the A/C on, do you feel a change in vibration? Do the radiator fans come on? Do you see anything in the sight glass at the high side line?
