My 2007 Prius with about 95,000 miles has a blank dashboard display. Absolutely blank. Everything seems to work otherwise, it starts and stops normally. The centre display works just fine but items related to mileage are blank, such as MPG and power generation. This just "happened" overnight while the car sat in the driveway in mild temperature (low 40's F). This is the first time anything has ever failed on this car and I am the only owner. Any ideas?
Your combination meter has failed. It might come on temporarily if you turn on your headlights for a few seconds before starting your car. This technique seems to have worked for some people. Also you can disconnect your 12v battery for about 10 seconds and that'll reset the car. But you'll need a replacement to properly fix the issue.
First, make sure you dimmer switch to the left of the steering wheel isn't turned all the way off... Once that solution doesn't work try what's said above this post. After that there's some folks that specialize in replacing these. This is a known problem that a warranty was extended for but pretty sure that warranty period has expired.
