I've had my 2008 Prius since October and LOVE it. Mostly I've been keeping my screen on engery consumption but recently started looking at the map and I've noticed icons on my nav screen that I cant identify. I finally pulled out the nav book but no luck. One icon seems to be laying bread crumbs on the roads I've ever driven. Anothe one seems to mark up some highways. ANyone know where I can get additional info on the navigation system? Do they have their own web site? Thanks, Maria
The "bread crumbs" is because you've somehow activated the "Track Route" function. It's mentioned in the navigation manual so look harder . Probably under the Map Route button.
Just to clarify what TP said, you should have received two manuals, one for the car and one for the navigation and display system. The second one has details of how the nav system works, the phrases the voice recognition system (sort of) recognizes, how to turn on (and off) icons for various categories, how to set your Home location, how to set up handsfree Bluetooth communication with your cell phone, and much more. Welcome to PriusChat, Maria!
