2008 prius radio / battery health screen not working

    hey there i just got this car and the main screen isnt working. previous owner said after changing 12v battery it stopped working. occassionally it says a program cannot be read, consult dealer but most of the time screen is black.

    it also shows toyota logo on startup then turns off.

    any help?

    Year model . I would swap and see if it's the unit itself . How did the buttons look surrounding the unit does it have the nav system button on it?

    The screen needs to be repaired. You can take it off and send it to "autobeyours" (google them). They will repair it and send it back to you for $299

    This is quite common now on the older cars
