2009 Plug-in Prius PKG 5 in CA $27,500 Hey all! This vehicle has 15,870 miles on it, and was purchased on September 16th, 2008 at South Coast Toyota. The Prius was purchased as a Package 5, which includes Navigation, Radio, JBL Audio system, bluetooth, etc. Features include keyless entry and ignition and rear-view camera. Excellent condition; no dents or dings. Silver with grey interior. Handwashed and detailed monthly. 99.9+ MPG. $20.00 fills the tank; I average 740 miles on one tank of gas (city and highway use). Single owner since day one; all records and service up to date. This Plug-in kit will allow you to get up to 18 miles of pure electric driving throughout the city. When combining the kit with the gas engine, you'd get up to 36 miles of plug-in hybrid use where you'd average 100+ MPG. To be specific, this plug-in kit uses sealed lead acid batteries. Each cell utilizes a B&B 20AH 12 volt battery. Each of these batteries are wired in series to equal 288v when charged. Plug-in supply is currently selling LiFePo4 upgrades to the existing pack in the car. When Lithium technology becomes cheaper in the future, maybe, in two years(let's all hope), you could upgrade to the new lithium batteries. The new batteries use the exact same electronics and have the same size constraints as the B&B batteries. To replace them now, it would cost roughly 4000$(I think it's in that ball park). The battery system hasn't been used much, and has a good two years left out of the pack. I only have the ability to plug in once every day(at home), so the amount of cycles have been reduced by a great amount. I paid $6,512 dollars for this kit. There is a warranty on all of the Plug-in parts... to check out the actual manufactuer of the kit, please check out http://www.pluginsupply.com/ For more information and pictures directly relating to my use and installation of the kit, view another thread on this forum at http://priuschat.com/forums/prius-p...ctric-vehicle-install-plug-in-supply-kit.html The vehicle was converted by myself and Electrik Innovations on December 23, 2008. The vehicle is still in warranty and has a clean title! The VIN is: JTDKB20U897825323 I'm selling this vehicle to make room for my 2010 Prius. Qualified, serious buyers only. Send me a PM!! I'm very willing to negotiate the price(This is my first time selling a car ) I'm asking for 27,500$! Send me a PM to get a test drive(If you're in the area)!
Okay, I'm bumping this one. I'm really really willing to negotiate! My 2010 prius is on the way and my '09 needs a home with a plug.
Okay.. deadline is coming soon guys What price would you pay to take it home? I'm willing to negotiate
By the way, I posted it on Ebay as well... I did a post last week, but that didnt go any where.. Toyota : Prius:eBay Motors (item 150350160900 end time Jun-12-09 17:41:36 PDT) The bid is starting at 23,000.
Okay guys, Asking price is now 27,500.... Ebay starts at 23,000 This thing is priced to sell now.. I really need it gone in 2 weeks
Sorry to the OP, but isn't this fascinating. I keep reading other posters who say they are holding out for the new PHEV Prius (just around the corner) and yet here's a loaded 'late model' 2009 PHEV Prius at what appears to be a reasonable price - and nothing!!! Walk the talk guys...
Well, I'd like to keep the current PHEV applied to this car so I can use another PHEV pack on my 2010
From what I can tell, last I went to the dealership, they said my warranty was fine due to the fact that the plug-in hybrid kits from Hymotion and Plug-in supply were shown that they do not damage the hybrid system(I heard it from the Toyota rep ) Realistically, if the hybrid battery were to be damaged by the Plug-in supply kit, that shouldn't be covered. The rest of the car is still covered under the factory warranty.
BTW guys, Since no one has purchased the vehicle quick as I thought they would.. I still have to drive the car... Most likely, it'll be somewhere around 16,600 miles when the owner receives it.
The way it's looking.. the day the dealership calls this or next week... I'll have to decline my order This car must go before I get the new one.
o thats a shame.. then cell it without the pack.. a normal prius wil be better to sell or not? gas prices are climbing again or not?
