Hi all, newbie here, just "inherited" my brother-in-law's 2009 Prius after he bought a Tesla. The main display screen in the center is not working (and apparently hasn't for years), and the display for the radio also does not work. I was hoping it was just a blown fuse, but it looks like all the fuses related to those displays are intact. I'd like to chase down the issue and fix it, but I cannot find a wiring diagram online ANYWHERE for a 2009. Does anybody have a wiring diagram that they'd be willing to share? I'd sure appreciate it. Also, if anyone's had this issue before and was able to fix it, any advice you have would also be appreciated. Thanks!
The Electrical Wiring Diagram is available from several of the sources described on the PriusChat Wiki page, including at least one (ChiltonLibrary) to which you may be able to get access at no cost.
You can buy the factory G2 electrical diagram factory book on ebay pretty cheap. i think I bought one for $30. The Bentley manual is excellent has all the codes and there description and all the diagrams. There about $60-80 on eBay. Your going to need a hybrid capable OBD code reader too real soon. Dr Prius is a phone app you need a bluetooth or wifi VIM like carista to talk to the car. The center screen is call the Multi Function Display or MFD.
