    Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this chat forum so I hope I'm not outside of any forum rules. I have read through these forums and I've learned a great deal. I want to that thank community members for sharing their knowledge and experience.

I have my wife's 2010 Prius with 165 000 miles have numerous warning lights related to ABS, traction control come on. I had the codes read and the following codes were found:
1 of 5 C0210 – Rear Speed Sensor RH Circuit

2 of 5 C1238 – Foreign Matter is attached on the tip of the right sensor

    3 of 5 C1241 Low or High-Power Supply Voltage

4of 5 C1391 Abnormal Leak of ACC Press

5 of 5 U0293 Lost communication with EV Control Systems.

I had the codes cleared through a borrowed OBD2 reader and the warning lights came back on the next day.

    Things I've done so far:
    - I have had the 12V battery checked at an autoparts store and it checked out as a good battery that could use a charge and they did that for me.

    - I've replaced the rear hub that contains the speed sensor.

I will be borrowing the code reader again and clearing the codes a second time hoping that (C0210 – Rear Speed Sensor RH Circuit) triggered all the other codes. I believe I am hearing the power actuator cycle more frequently. I'm curious what people's thoughts are on one code triggering a cascade of other codes?

I'll share more after I read and clear the codes that reoccurred.

    Thanks again for any input.

    Regards,

    Fio

It's possible for a car to have more than one issue, without one of them having caused the others.

With any luck, your rear hub replacement should take care of the C0210 and C1238. (If it doesn't, there possibly was a wiring issue or some other issue in that circuit besides the hub/sensor itself).

Also with luck, the battery charging will have taken care of the C1241. (If not, there could be a wiring issue there instead.)

If you hear the brake pressure pump cycling more often, then the C1391 is probably not fake news at all.

For more about U0293 codes, you can see this post.

    This mystery deepens.

I went to an autoparts store that happens to be beside a Toyota dealership. I read the codes again and this time the codes were c1391 code and a P0A80 (hybrid battery) code and the car was driving sluggishly. I then tried my OBD2 Bluetooth reader with my Dr. Prius app and it didn't show a P0A80 code.

I used the autoparts store OBD2 reader to clear both codes. I went and spoke to a Toyota tech explained what codes I had and he shared that I shouldn't be able to clear the C1391 code if the actuator was defective. Stated that it could be electrical, or the booster.

Needless to say say after driving for 1.5 hours my ABS, Brake and Traction Light came back on.

I'm going to have the vehicle looked at by Toyota and have them determine what is truly wrong with the vehicle.

I did ask the Toyota sales people about any new car availability and was told 6 months for any ICE vehicle and 1 to 2 years for a hybrid.
