I'm about to hit a dealer in NorCal that can get me a 2010 package 4 with solar and nav. He is quoting 31,830 MSRP and is mentioning a delivery fee because he doesn't have the car on his lot, and will have to get it flatbed towed. I looked at TrueCar and they're saying 24,216 is a good deal for the package 4 (however the dealer associated with that quote is already out of 2010s). What is a recommended 'walk-away' number? i.e. if negotiations don't get close to $XX,XXX off-the-lot, then just walk-away. Thanks
Dealer waived the $400 fee when we were dealing because vehicle was 100 miles away and I could have just driven there and made the sale with other dealer. I still got my 2010 well below TrueCare average/best price at the time. GL
if he is quoting msrp, that's probably as good as it's going to get these days. what about an eleven?
Thanks for responding! I was only able to get him down to 30k for the 2010, and he said he'd give me the 2011 for the same price, but we got down to 29.9. So in all, 29.9 for a package 4 with solar and 2.89% financing. Might not be rock bottom, but I assume that's pretty competitive for NorCal now that every dealer is mentioning $5 gas and the production stoppages in Japan.

Hey Snead_c, sorry for my misleading reply. I already signed the contract. I wish I had done more reading on these forums to have seen Dianne's contact info earlier. All in all, I'm content with my deal. A bit over invoice but less than msrp according to AAA quotes. Maybe I'm a cheap date, but that's all it takes to make me happy.
