The Optima DS46B24R is the ideal Prius battery of those two as it has JIS posts and a 'reversed' orientation that puts the negative post near the body and isolates the positive post. Optima DS46B24R Optima battery direct fit replacement for Prius 2004 + & Plug-in Prius with Instructions The Optima D51 is less than ideal on two counts, SAE posts will need a conversion kit for the wiring, and not being reversed, the positive post will be close to the metal ground, and the cables will be too short.
