I have a Black, 2010 package V. The car was in the first delivery, to a local dealer. The rear bumper has a horizontal, overlapping and random string of 1/4" circles in the center of the bumper. The line is about about 12' long. At first I thought it was vandalism but upon closer inspection from several angles, I noticed that the circles have characters in them at the 12-3-6- and 9 positions. The paint is not broken....its as through they we're painted over during manufacturing. The dealer is saying I was hit....no way getting hit would leave a random, precise pattern like this. The paint would be broken as well....no paint is broken. I have an meeting with the factory rep this week. Anyone seen anything like this?
Could it be the dimples cause by the license plate screw heads from another car while trying to do parallel parking at a tight space?
I would tend to agree with Bedrock8X, as in my previous car, (2007 Honda Civic Hybrid) I was tapped by a priest in the Coffee Drive thru.....(that's another story)... Anyway, we exchanged conversation and I was blessed even though he make a similar mark in my bumper...came from his screws on his License Plate Holder. He told me it wouldn't affect my car operation...I guess I won't attend MASS at his church unless he gives me some of the offerings so I can get it repaired....
Highly unlikely as I never parallel park. The circles that are emerging look nothing like a screw head of any kind and they are very clean in their definition. You can see the circumference line cleanly defined and there are what appear to be characters inside the line at 12-3-6 and 9.
