Hi. I recently scratched the rear spoiler on my 2010 Prius. I am planning on removing my rear spoiler myself to have it repainted or carbon fiber warped, which will mean that I will have the spoiler MIA for a few days. My question is when the spoiler is removed for a few days, can I still use the car? Two concerns I have are 1-Will the hatch leak when it rains with the spoiler removed (it will definitely rain where I live ), and 2-Are there any technical issues with using the car with the spoiler brake light disconnected. There wont be any technical issues with the 3rd brake light removed, but you might have a water leak.., just make sure whn you remove it that you temporarily block any open holes with painters tape...
No problem. When the weather warms up and the snow goes I'll get at it. I have to get my nerve up too! My experience is that I always break something in trying to fix something else.
