2010 solar roof noises in cold weather

    Even with closing the moonroof fully, it creaks and rattles when going over bumps and potholes - Minnesota has lots of those. It sounds like the glass is scraping and moving, but I don't feel any looseness. Started with the cold weather last week. My Passat sunroof made nary a noise in any weather, so I expect the same from Toy. My only, and mighty big disappointment, so far. Is this just my car? Any dealer fixes recommended?

    I'm also in Minnesota, but haven't so much as heard a peep from mine. I guess I'd start your investigation as to why by opening it and wiping down all the seams. That may reveal a clue as to what is loose or isn't sealing completely.

    It went away when I got the interior warmed up today. I think I'll get a younger set of ears to pinpoint the noise, and then maybe do as you suggest. Thanks.

    There is a product VW uses to lubricate the seals on the EOS roof called Krytox. I'm thinking a quick wipe with some of this may well fix the problem.
