A rider let down her window in my car today in the right rear, which reminded me that I needed to fix the controls on my door (The driver's side front door. I was ready to tear down the driver's side door to replace the switch mechanism Like I do with everything I ran it through YouTube. Here was the problem I was having Keep in mind my car has over 530K miles on it. The two windows on the passenger side of the car (Right aside in the U.S.) would only go up and down if you reached over there to put them up or down. The 2 buttons on my door for them would not work at all. I was thinking I would need to replace that entire mechanism. I watched a couple videos on YouTube and they said to put the window all the way down and continue to hold the button for 5 seconds and then to put the window all the way up and hold the button up for 5 seconds to reset them? So that is exactly what I did and it worked on both windows! I was ecstatic, I fixed them both with ease in under 1 minute for FREE! THAT IS JUST ONE REASON WHY YOUTUBE IS AWESOME!
Yes you reset the window Very good something you should always try before you start tearing apart the combination switch now tell me how you got all the miles on a generation 3 Prius how many engines has it had It's been a ride share car all of its life? You got it with how many miles. Like I say if you keep these things in the wind and don't take them off the road we made 365 with a 2010 solar roof car that came from Florida to North Carolina and back and forth and was used in college and driving for profit ventures its whole life was never off the road longer than a weekend then I have a 2013 that was treated like a queen It's engine failed at 220 230K miles. But in the generation 3 the way the door panels cave in in the front and all that stuff can't imagine how well it would do with writing people versus riding merchandise which is what our car the 10 did the 13 did nothing and that's about the right mileage for the gen 3. Just living a normal life not the normal 400,000 miles you get out of a Corolla or a Yaris to me it was quite disappointing but you can't complain when you make over 200k as long as you didn't pay the $25 or 30 grand for the car you're in good shape.
