When looking up the parts for a new compressor (which the dealer said was the problem), I need to know if it was manufactured before or after August 2011. Where do I find this information? The VIN has only confirmed the year of manufacture.
look at the date on the inside of the drivers door where the vin number is, if theres no date call the dealer with the vin number or see if the part number for the compressor is on the repair estimate than order the same off line
My VIN plate on the driver's door jamb has factory and month and day of manufacture for my Camry. It's at the top of the plate affixed to the door jamb. The Prius likely has the same.
