I'm sure it's been written about before, but just wondering folks thoughts on the oil change interval for the 2012 Camry Hybrid as I just passed 100K and it's running strong. My current interval is every 10k (or a little less) with a tire rotation and synthetic 0W-20. Has anyone shortened the interval as the mileage creeps higher? or just need to keep checking oil level and viscosity as it gets closer to the 10k interval? Thanks!
I've never shortened the interval of any car I've owned as they age. I have extended some once the car was out of warranty.
Our 60k 2013 gets it every 10k, and I can think of no reason to change it as mileage creeps up. Plus, hybrid engines don’t even run all the time. We do change it once a year, whether we reach 10k or not
If you have concerns, change it sooner. It will improve your odds I think, and 10K is a long stretch. Are you checking level regularly?
how many miles on her? at some point, it pays to start checking between changes. toyota warning lights only work after the engine is fried.
10k actually isn't a stretch with a good synthetic. With lower sulfur fuels now in the US, we should see the interval increase to levels used in Europe.
