2012 Prius 5 reads Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge texts only sometimes?

    My son's 2012 Prius 5 reads text messages he gets on his Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge phone, but not all the time.

    Does anyone know what the criteria is for the text messages to be read out loud on the 2012 Prius 5?
