I contacted a dealer who is trying to clear out a 2012 Prius v (the actual 'vee', as opposed to the trim level). This is a "new" vehicle (think it has 50 kms or so on it) but from what I can gather, has been sitting in the showroom for a while. Should the possibility that it has been sitting around for a year or more be a major concern? I am new to Prii but understand that in general, they should not be left idle for weeks/months at a time. Would the 12V and/or HV battery be negatively impacted by this? Is there something that dealers do to vehicles that are parked in showrooms (i.e. disconnect the battery or something like that)? I can the dealer how this is managed when I go there on the weekend, but just thought I would ask here first. Any tips on what to look for during inspection/test drive? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
