I need to change my 2012 Prius v driver side door and wondering if a 2012 Prius door will fit? Are they the same / similar?
The Prius V has a longer wheelbase than regular Prius, so not even close is correct. The back door is significantly wider in the V, which is why Prius V's make great Taxi / Rideshare vehicles. Good news is, the Prius V has not changed from 2012 to 2017, so a Prius V door from another year is very likely to work. I suspect there are changes between trim levels as far as soundproofing, as my 2017 Prius V four sounds quieter when you close it, than my 2013 Prius V two.
