My radio is acting up and I was going to remove it and send off to get repaired. It may take a few weeks to return. Can I run the Prius without the radio installed? Or is it going to cause issues? The radio works fine first thing in the morning, but after you stop and restart then it is very dim and Touch Screen does not work. The next morning it works fine one time.
It's just your touch screen that went bad. There is a thread on how to FYI the screen in case you want to. Or, you can get a stock used one on ebay for around $180. Or, if you are brave, you can get an after market unit. Either way, I would leave the head unit in your car till you replace it.
