Hello. I'm two days from a road trip and suddenly my speedometer isn't lighting up on my dashboard. At all. everything else on the dash lights up just fine but the speedometer just disappeared. I did notice this happened after filling up my tank. My 2013 is very basic and uses a key to start. There is no button. Does anyone know an easy fix for this?
Obviously, you would want to check the dimmer. The switch is to the left of the steering wheel on the lower dash. (at least it is on a 2016, so I'm assuming it's there on your 2013 as well). Second, cycle through your displays. If none of them are showing, then the display is shorted/burned out. I can't see what filling up would have to do with anything so that's just a coincidence. If it is burned out, a junkyard replacement would be the cheapest. Your ODO won't be correct, but at least it would be a functional dash. Or you could do what I would do and just ignore it. lol I drove for years in a Chevrolet with no speedometer. Wasn't as hard as it may sound - just went with the flow of traffic.
Dubit: Lol. and that's what I'm planning to do for now. The weird thing is the speedometer display is the only one that's out. Everything else lights up. If I don't find a reset solution, at some point I may take it in. Thanks!
