I’m new to this forum and I would like you all opinion. I’m contemplating buying a 2013 Prius C Three with 70k miles. The person selling it is willing to let it go for 8k and it seems to be in good condition. Is it worth it to purchase it for that price? I’m located in central Florida and my only concern is the battery life. What do you all think? Thanks in advance for your comments.
While I'm not familiar with used car values in your area, for me it sounds high. The high voltage battery is still under warranty (8 years/100,000). So your good there. If you want a newer one, I'll sell you my Tangerine Orange, 2016 that just hit 36k for $11,000 I'm in Indiana however, but that drive can be made in a day.
Look it up yourself in KBB, Edmunds or NADA. Ask point blank if the present owner knows of ANYTHING that is wrong with it. Also ask if it has ever been wrecked or flooded. Most people will "forget" to mention things but most won't blatantly lie about it. Probably worth a couple of hundred to have a Toyota shop go over it.
