Hi All. I'm looking to buy a 2013 Prius Four not IV as only 2010 used uppercase roman numerals . It has only 15800 miles and asking price was $17995 USD plus tax. Car is clean, no accidents or structural damage. I'm told the previous owner was a lady in her 70s who traded the car in. I was able to negotiate the deal to the asking price (18K usd) including TTL. I have th purchase order and wanted to sleep it over. Pull the trigger?
Sounds like a lot to me. But that is very low mileage. According to some research online, if you really want it, reach out your hand and say 17K out the door and I'll sign right now. That's usually what I do and it works. If it's still available express interest over the weekend, but if it's still there Monday, give them a few days then go back in and make the offer. Good luck.
Make sure it had'nt been parked (unused) along time ,for this may affect the HV battery. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
The old, "... was owned by an old lady ..." trick, huh? I'd want to verify that part of the story. Check the title to make sure it's not salvage. Have a mechanic check it over for possible damage. Do a vehicle history report (not necessarily reliable, do your own, don't accept the one the dealer offers). That's damn near the price of a new Prius Two ...
Ditto above. Would you rather have a fully loaded used Prius for $18k with no warranty? Or would you rather buy a brand new base model 2016 Prius for a bit more?
