    Hey guys,

Just drove my mother's new Rogue and when going downhill with the gas pedal off I definetly felt some kind of (simulated) engine braking !?

Seems like the car didn't want to accelerate and felt it (not in the smoothest way) ... it may be a safety feature but felt weird especially when the Prius glides so well in the same scenario :)

Must be this I felt: Active Engine Brake | NISSAN | TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES

In any cade, I feel it was not subtle and just felt plain weird!

About 2 years ago but it was manual Sorento, I swear my old 5 speed auto Legacy wagon didn't behave like that :-$

you could be right, i haven't driven one. the article seems to be saying the engine is used to help slow down the car while applying the brake.
