2014 Prius AC fan making ticking noise

Recently I've noticed when turning on my AC the fan starts to make a loud ticking sound. I opened up the glove department and checked inside to see if there was anything but it looked empty for the most part aside from what looked like a metal strip wrapped around one of the blades of the fan. The noise goes away whenever I turn off the AC so I don't think it is anything else.
It's hard to get a view of the inside because of where it is but I got some pictures of what it looks like inside and the noise the fan is making. I've double checked to make sure there was nothing in there no avail
Has anyone had a similar issue?
