Bought a 2014 Prius FOUR(w/ sunroof) from original owner. Vehicle had about 50,700 miles and I paid 14,800 + tax + registration fees. Didn't negotiate much since we needed a vehicle this past weekend. Am coming from Gen 2 and Gen 3 is totally different. the console is in the middle, the display screen is much smaller. I liked the screen in Gen 2 where it shows consumption/mileage etc. Although, we really like the sunroof option with solar panel so hoping it will keep interiors cool during summer.
Congrats on your purchase! I also have a Five -- I got it for the adaptive cruise cruise (no sunroof) given the amount of highway driving I do. If you use the button on the steering wheel you can cycle through screens until you get to one that has the data you are interested in. Not sure where in Florida you are (although from your name I'm gonna assume Tampa), but I take a risk by saying -- GO GATORS!
Go Bucs - but they suck! Anyway, tried the button on steering - how can I get the odometer and the mileage consumption info at same time? I can seem to do on trip a or trip b but not when it shows odometer reading. well, you couldn't do that on Gen 2 but is it possible in Gen 3? Am looking for odometer and the display that shows current mpg next to each other. Also, am still using ECO mode but the vehicle occasionally goes into PWR mode even though I haven't pressed the PWR button - is this normal? Another also, the brakes - not happy with them - it doesn't seem smooth, it looks like am doing a hard brake everytime I come to a full stop. Anything I can do?
Sorry upon checking the title, its a FOUR but yes to sunroof solar combo. I was searching for Prius with dual-moon roofs but they are harder to find.
My daughter has the Prius at college right now (GO GATORS!) but I am getting it back next week and will check. You may be right on that. Of course, there is the constant MPG bar graph on the main dash. That seems really odd, especially since you come from a Prius background and are used to regenerative braking. With 50K miles, its conceivable that its time for a brake job. Perhaps you have a warped rotor.
