2014 prius hybrid

    My car's ignition light did not want to turn on, and when it did. my display wasn't showing, and all of my lights are flashing and my heater was blowing but not warm, and those lights were not working. Is it the cold weather in Arkansas or is it the door ajar light has somehow messed up my system. The door open (displays as a car with doors open) light will not go off, even when we get out. I had to load straw bales in the back and I think the straw is stuck in the back latch. Could these be two unrelated issues?

    Good chance the 12v battery is low, especially with age and cold weather.

    If a door or hatch was somehow ajar, that would run the battery down. Check inside the hatch latch with a good light, and try vacuum and/or compressed air?

    To avoid the hassle and expense of a tow, if possible, try a jump start, either a jump pack or another car and jumper cables.
