Hello, My 2014 prius v lost power when I was driving near my home at ~25mph. The power steering went out and all the instrument lights came on. The power button turned red and it went to a coast and stopped. The gear went to "N" and won't go back to "D". Finally, I powered it off and turned it back on and I started moving again as if nothing was wrong. Luckily, I was on a back-road with no traffic. I should have taken a pic but did not do that as I was upset with the situation. Has anybody else seen or heard of this issue? I am going to take it to the dealer tomorrow. Thanks
welcome! someone just had a rock crack their inverter radiator. another possibility is the 12v. but, with a newer car, it's likely some unusual defect. all the best!
The diagnostic codes are the most telling of what is going on. Please make sure they note the error codes on your service paperwork and report back here. Please Please Please. Below is the only other Prius v thread that deals with massive power loss that I could find.
