I removed one of the hub caps on my Prius Three and the stock wheels look much better than the plastic wheel covers that come with the car. Only problem is the hole in the center of the wheel. I cannot find a badge for the 2016 Prius Three 15" wheel. I measured it and to my best guess it is 2" in diameter with a 1 7/8" rim inside of that. Does anyone know where to find center hub badges for these wheels?
eBay (that's where I found the centres for my 16" alloys (2009 Gen II (touring)), the wheels look much better nekkid! (…like so many other things! ) - I'm still hunting for covers for the 15" steelies which are wearing their winter snow-shoes at the moment! (…to be honest, only ½-heartedly looking, since the "grundgie-look" seems to attract less crud & ice & snow than the alloys did in last year's blizzards! The eBay item # was 221914925349, if that helps - I got them last October, but I think the seller is still trading (from China from what I remember) - hope this helps - Wil
Yes, i'm looking for the 2016 center cap for the 15" stock wheel too. I removed that "hub cab". It looks retarded.
Saw a post from vince22. He used the old Prius center cap from eBay and trimmed down the side tab to fit with 3M tape. I'm going with that route for now until there is a better solution in the future.
Who designs those plastic wheel covers? Do they hate cars? In both the 2011 I had and my new 2016 the simple alloys underneath look far better. For the 2011, I found some center caps from Toyota that worked perfectly. I just ordered some for the 2016 and will post here whether they fit, and if so part #.
Thanks! Please do keep us posted - I've got caps from my 2010, but haven't figured out a way to get them to fit yet. (Admittedly, I haven't tried very hard.)
Sorry, don't hold your breath. I ordered them thru Amazon and had no idea that the seller is in Thailand. Tracking indicates that they have not budged since 3/12, but delivery date is supposedly 4/4-4/18 via mail. Oh well, at least they weren't expensive.
